Sprucing Up Your Home for the Holidays

Imagine cozying up in front of a warmly-lit Christmas Tree, your living room adorned with wreaths and ornaments, the dining room filled to the brim with holiday favorites — indeed, there’s nothing quite compared to spending the holidays at home.

It doesn’t take a lot of tinsel to bring the spirit of the holiday season into your home. In fact, even the most subtle touches can make your home both more inviting to guests and a great holiday sanctuary for your loved ones.

Located at the Proscenium in Rockwell, today’s featured Ethan Allen home knows a thing or two about holiday decorating. By seamlessly integrating their Christmas decor into their interiors, the homeowners created a sophisticated, elegant space that doesn’t fall short on the merry feeling.

In the Living Room:

The center for all socialization, the living room is often the pièce de résistance when it comes to holiday decorating.

Sticking to one or two main colors creates a more streamlined look across the home. What we love about this homeowner’s living room is how the Christmas Tree’s motif of reds and golds is subtly carried through the furniture pieces in the room – and in our favorite Ethan Allen pieces too!

The Marcus three-piece open-end sectional, with its curved-corner profile and tapered cone feet, is the perfect sofa for the family and for entertaining guests this festive season.

With its clean-lined curves and swivel base, the Baylee barrel-back swivel chair is the perfect go-to piece for any room. We love how its distinctive art deco notes perfectly complements the rest of the living room pieces!

Holiday decors should be functional too! The handsome Dillonvale display bookcase is all form and function, with a few industrial notes (a steel frame and a weighted bottom for stability). It’s finished on all sides, with wire-brushed Indonesian mahogany shelves — perfect for holding all your favorite christmas ornaments and family memorabilia!

The room is tied together through the Edmonds Square Wood Coffee Table, topped with the Nickel Coral Oval Bowl. Plain and simple, Edmonds is one of the most beautiful coffee tables around. The versatile square wood coffee table is made from lightly wire-brushed, quarter-sawn Indonesian mahogany, and is supported by a simple cubist-inspired steel base.

In the Dining Room:

There’s nothing like counting down the hours to Christmas and New Year surrounded by good food and great company. The holiday feast is one of the most important parts of the entire season, especially here in the Philippines – making decorating the dining room also of utmost importance.

In this home’s dining area, the same red and gold colors are seen in the suspended lamps above the dining table.

The red accents are complemented with the  pink hues of the Thomas Armchair — bringing comfort, along with clean, contemporary lines and graceful tapered legs, to the dinner party.

In the Bed Room:

While the bedroom isn’t conventionally decorated during the holidays, doesn’t mean we can add a few quiet festive touches to our personal spaces! By adding holiday hues to our beddings and bedroom decorations, we can create a cohesive space that matches the rest of the household!

Here are some of our favorites!

The Andover Low Profile Bed was designed to be simple yet one of a kind. For instance, if you look at the headboard up close, you’ll see an intricate, hand-applied pattern made from ribbon-striped sapele veneers. For an extra holiday feel, you can even dress up your bed with Ethan Allen beddings!

The Powell Double Dresser exterior exudes effortless elegance, but the interior of this solid wood dresser is hardworking, with roomy storage for clothing, bedding, accessories, and more.

Moving to the second bedroom, our eyes are immediately drawn to the Ravenswood Large Media Cabinet.  Its dramatic cathedral walnut veneers and wire-brushed Indonesian mahogany solids form the top and sides, while the show-stopping diamond pattern in front is fashioned from engineered hardwood.

Another lighting fixture takes the spotlight. The  Modena Iron Table Lamp wows with its simple, sleek post and lustrous, graphic style.

In the last bedroom, the design is balanced by two Braxton Table Task Lamps. The sleek and versatile two-bulb Braxton lamp delivers stylish task or ambient lighting. Its open-spoke base adds a mod industrial feel; its steel construction has unexpected heft; and its high-polish finish glows with retro-chic charm.

We also have the Kronos Demilune Chest at the entryway. Beyond its otherworldly beauty, Kronos has a functional side, too; its roomy interior is a pleasant and practical surprise. A heaven-sent petite demilune chest like Kronos proves you don’t have to go big to deliver spectacular style.

Atop it showcases accents that make the setup even more welcoming. The Lilac Branches Watergarden floral arrangement captures all the warmth and romance of lilacs blossoming on a brilliant day. Adding the finishing touch, the Pink Athena Bowl brings intricate patterns and vibrant colors together to create an unforgettable style statement.

How are you putting a festive touch to your home this season? We’d love to know!
